These readings will be made available to you through canvas* Course description: this course will provide an overview of major psychological theories, principles, and concepts of adulthood and aging. Developmental models and contemporary research will be presented addressing the physical, cognitive, psychological, and social changes that occur from adulthood (beginning around age 25) to the end of life. Emphasis will be placed on issues influencing adulthood, in particular, personality, cognition, employment, social relationships, and death and bereavement. This course will also consider the role of culture on health and ethnoracial health disparities during adulthood. Attendance: students are expected to attend every class and to be on time. You are responsible for all information presented in class.
