Fungi/infectious dose: describe three infection-fighting characteristics of our skin. The human skin is very protective because it is dry, has acidic secretions, ad is exposed to radiation from the sun. The size of the inoculum does have an effect on how easily an infection takes hold because the more bacteria, the stronger its chances at causing a successful infection.
