PSYC 263 Lecture 5: Auditory Perception
Document Summary
If two sounds start at different times= likely that they are from different sources. If two sounds start together= probably from same source. Sounds that have same range are often from same source. Auditory stream segregation- perceptually separate different sound sources into different streams. Constant sounds or sounds that change smoothly are often produced by same source. Ex: watching a video of a guy saying bar and the audio is him saying bar. Then watch video of guy saying far so you think you hear that but it"s the same audio just different videos.
