Document Summary

As normal individuals, we are only aware of small amount of information that is around us in the world. Only one object at a time can be perceived when multiple objects are presented at the same location. Can perceive each of the objects if they are presented alone. Attention in one hemisphere of brain is impaired. Patients with damage to right hemisphere would neglect things in the left visual field. Neglect isnt only in visual world but also affect imagination and memory. Studied patients with neglect caused by damage to right hemisphere. Asked to imagine standing on steps of a cathedral. Only objects on the right side were reported. They were then asked to imagine they are turning around and then they could see things they didn"t before.
