* monkeys cannot recognize themselves in the mirrors but apes can. Chimpanzee baby: like a human being. responds to mothers and help bond them. Not until a year old the chimp falls behind intelligence from a human baby. African bushbaby: long fingers and thumbs help them grip its prey. Mountain gorilla: large digits still have precisions to grab bugs from hair. Aye aye: long figure to get larva in the bark. Nut-cracking: use a big rock to perfectly crack a nut. Mineral supplements: licking rocks when their diet lacks minerals. Medicinal plants: find plants that help them keep away parasites. Chimpanzee finger-painting : finger painting didnt like getting dirty so she used a brush. When brush is broken she fixes it herself. This makes it easier to find food, mates, care for young and spot danger. Then they start limiting themselves to a small group of family and friends. Self recognition: most animals are not capable of this.
