Archaic primates- originating in n. america and colonizing europe via a land bridge across greenland. Best known from american west especially montana & wyoming. Incisors that were not continuously growing and did not self-sharpen like those of rodents. Purgatorius: we"ll focus on 3 of the 6 families. Purgatoriidae- lived in american nw 65 mya.
