Engrossing: wholesale purchasing for the purpose of reselling at a monopoly price. Forestalling: selling substandard products and charging excessive prices. Exploitation of the poor and of the consumers moved into the shadows (cid:271)ei(cid:374)g (cid:272)a(cid:373)ouflaged (cid:271)y . Production happens behind closed doors, away from the consumers (not a neighborhood artisan like before) which allows for people to do shady shit. Diffusion of the inflicted harm: mass scales of production leads to mass scale of harm.
