Used most often to describe the distribution of scores for the categories of a variable measured by a nominal scale. Percentage pertains to overall total of people surveyed/observed: bar graphs. Consists of plots used to show frequency counts. Frequency or percentage is shown along vertical axis. Horizontal axis displays values/categories of nominal variables. Key or legend at top: pie charts. Consist of circles which are divided into segments and are proportioned to the percentage of the circle that represents the frequency count for that category: line graphs. A single point represents the frequency or percentage for each category of the nominal variable. Summary statistics: measures of central tendency.
