Speakers of one dialect may not easily understand speakers of another, even when it"s the same language. Dialects are a difference, not a speech disorder. Phonemic symbols included in a full universal system. Some symbols will resemble the printed alphabet and some will not. Syllable initial sounds are sometimes called releasing sounds. Syllable final sounds are sometimes called arresting sounds. Usually linked together with other syllables in rhythmic pattern. All syllables in english contain a vowel.
