Nowadays, it"s a necessity for designer to understand the cultural and social needs of the customers before designing a product. In order to meet customer needs, social challenges have to be solved with systematic solutions. There are many approaches to the problem; however, the design thinking is considered to be one of the most effective way to solve the given problem. Design thinking is a discipline that uses the designer"s sensibility and methods to match people"s needs with what is technologically feasible and what a viable business strategy can convert into customer value and market opportunity. Design thinking assimilate consumer insights and their need in depth and rapid prototyping, all aimed at becoming open minded, that is, getting beyond the assumptions and creating valuable ideas. It is inherently optimistic, constructive and experiential which addresses and state the needs of people who will consume a product or service and the infrastructure that enables it.
