Document Summary
Due to having its own language : abbreviations for simple propositions. ~, * (a dot), v, backwards c (will be written >), and = Chart says if you have a proposition, p, you do not know if it is true or false, but you know it is wither true or false. The negation symbol ( ~ ) constructs a new proposition out of the old one, p, with opposite truth value. * is binary, needs proposition on each side. If either p or q is false, than p * q is false. * is usually and, although but may be * as well v is synonymous with english word or: meaning is ambiguous. Ex: today is wednesday or it is sunny p v q is true as long as one of the propositions are true. True only when both propositions have the same truth value. Only false when going from true antecedent to false consequent.
