His work is a treatise easier to understand, but can be confusing. Ch 1: political association: different kinds of authorities. Political authority: is better than all kinds of authority. Makes the case how the political community is better than all kinds of hierarchy. Ch 2: an overview for the case of political community and the goodness and nobility that stems from it: one proceeds directly from human nature, the building blocks for political life. Aristotle breaks down the relationship in three parts. slavery, acquistion, family/parenthood. The human nature argument: being part of a political community is part of what makes us human. Political communities are the best because it allows us to be at our best acquisition. The building blocks argument: the elements in what a city compose inside: master/slave, husband/wife , parent/child. The result of two elementary relationships include: master/slave, husband/wife. The household is focused on personal needs. The city is focused on grand good things.
