Web dubois north, no experience w/ segregation. Need to ight for things or they won"t get it ight for all the rights at once. Anti-lynching crusaders, school teacher, editor of a paper, stayed in the north after workplace was burnt down. Lynched because they are black keep the group down. Don"t need a justification, terrorizing community and get rid of people. Has money, hungry, tired but prejudiced is so ingrained that it doesn"t matter. No one wants to help or associate with her. Racism is so hard to root out of the south for a long period of time.
