Document Summary

Susan brison"s view: porn (as she defines it) is significantly harmful and we do not have the moral right to enjoy it. (influenced by feminism and the 1986 attorney general"s. Commission on porn: not calling for legal censorship. Difficult to do: women-hating hate speech, her definition of porn: violent misogynistic. Evelina giobbe example: runaway girls who are underage. Forced to use drugs: this kind of porn is definitely harmful. Can be prevented from being made: agrees with this sort of material, but still has questions. Not all porn is violent and degrading in this way: comment: of course one has no moral right to see children being molested and violated. Men should be included in the definition: agrees. A symptom of sexist attitudes towards women: porn causes harm to those who have been sexually victimized, comment: such women should stay away from porn. Other problems: my house, native americans continue to be the most mistreated group in this country.
