Many related to how we interact with our clients around diagnoses. Diagnoses two general uses: (1) internal language within/between clinicians. Know what to look up, what kind of treatments are related/used (2) language to talk to client about the particular problems they"re facing. Children can take to heart a label to represent themselves (identity formation) Some diagnosis have developmental restrictions: can only diagnose a person within a certain age range. Use by psychologists, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals.
