Tx has many special insects and diseases compared to us. Hydrocortisone (steroid- for inflammation, itching, allergic reactions) For more serious reaction or large area. Probably raised and hard to touch, not pliable/soft. Need take stinger out to rid of venom. Can become allergic to things later in life - immune system weakening. Prevention is best bc hard to get rid of it. Keep skin moisturized: lotions and drink water. Comes from chicken pox (vaccine or disease) From stress or being sick bc immune sys suppressed. Need to be certain age to get vaccine bc stats show don"t need until 50. Sometimes identified as poison ivy/oak or eczema. Can spread it if resin not clean off. Delayed immune response in other areas for up to 2 weeks. Don"t open up otherwise introducing bacteria = infection. Can"t apply steroid cream before dry bc immunosuppressant.
