Other duties of an agent: duty to obey instructions. An agent must obey her principal"s instructions, unless the principal directs her to behave illegally or unethically. I run a restaurant you guys go a waiting staff. Worker feels that it is unethical because he works at cvs. Conflict between liberal and conservative: duty of care. Agent has duty to act w/ reasonable care. An agent with special skills is held to a higher standard because she is expected to use those skills. A gratuitous agent (one who is not being paid) is held to a lower standard because she is doing her principal a favor. Gratuitous agents are liable if they commit gross negligence, but not ordinary negligence: duty to provide information. Agent has duty to provide the principal with all info in her possession that she has reason to believe the principal wants to know. Agent also has duty to provide accurate info.
