WK 4: ATTITUDES
-ENTPs are conceptualizers.
Dark Side Triad:
-Narcissism: is characterized by grandiosity, pride, ego, and lack of empathy to others. "I deserve it"
-Machiavellianism: is characterized by manipulation and exploitation of others, cynical disregard
for morality, and focus on deception for self-interests. "whatever it takes"
-Psychopathy: is characterized by enduring antisocial behavior, impulsiveness, callousness, and
remorselessness. "do it or else"
Other personality types:
-proactive personality: Someone who is relatively unconstrained by situational forces and who affects
environmental change
-High self-monitor: highly responsive to cues, situational context and project images to impress others
-low self montiors: less observant
Goal orientation:
-performance goal orientation- emphaisizing demonstration of competence
-learning goal orientation- emphasis on wht can be learned from the task
values
-a specific mode of conduct or end state of existence is
-A broad tendency to prefer certain states of affairs over others.
-Values have to do with what we consider good-bad, right-wrong, desirable-undesirable.
-Values are motivational and very general.
-Values can change over time as one’s life changes.
-Terminal values refer to stable life goals that desired end states or goals that people would like to
achieve in their life. The “ends.”
-instrumental values refer to modes of behavior of code of conduct for achieving one’s terminal values.
