Trunk- consists of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis. Upper limbs- attach to the trunk and consist of the shoulder, armpit, arm, forearm, wrist, and hand. Lower limbs- attach to the trunk and contain the buttock, thigh, leg, ankle, and foot. Directional terms- words that describe the position of one body part in relation to another. Planes- imaginary flat surfaces that pass through body parts. There are 3 planes sagittal, frontal, and transverse: sagittal- divides the body into equal right and left parts, frontal divides the body into front and back parts, transverse- divides the body into top and bottom parts.
