Centipedes have one pair of legs per segment. Millipedes have two pairs of legs per segment. 95% of animals are invertebrates - - they lack a backbone. Soft bodies invertebrates with a hard shell. Not all have a shell though like slugs. These shrimp evolved a very fast striking system. They also have the most complex and color sensitive eye of any animal. Force of punch generates heat and light. Have 3 part body that consists of 3 parts: head - - sensory processing. !1: abdomen - - store/ nutrient processing. Usually has sensory antennae and a pair of eyes. Mouthparts are adapted for particular kinds of eating. Change from larval form to adult form. Water vascular system - - facilitates movement and gas exchange. When threatened they move in one direction. Some nerve endings have a higher concentration like a head. Inverts stomach out into prey and digests them.
