Fpi-foreign portfolio investment- net inflow of investment in a passive manor which do not entail active management in an enterprise operating in an economy other than that of the investor. Licensing- granting a foreign entity the right to produce and sell firm"s product in return for a royalty fee on every unit sold. Franchising- specialized form of licensing where franchiser not only sells intangible property to the franchisee agrees to abide by strict rules as to how it does business.
