Nerves (connect the nervous system and other systems) Describe the anatomical and functional divisions of the nervous system: The nervous system is divided into two parts: Nerves - carry sensory information and motor commands to pns. Cranial nerves - connect to the brain. Spinal nerves - attach to the spinal cord. Sensory data from inside and outside the body. Motor commands control activities or peripheral organs. Higher functions of the brain such as intelligence, memory, Functions of the pns learning and emotion. Carry motor commands to peripheral tissues and systems.
