Serial monogamy: when a person has several spouses in their lifetime, only one at a time, more common these days. Patriarchy is a system that benefits men at disadvantage of women. Men in position of power compared to women. Division of labor: unpaid labor at home, take care of children, household chores, women are more likely to do these things than men. Patriarchy: system of dominance that benefits men, like marxist view of capitalism, women are unequal and men benefit from this exploitation.
