Kinsey"s work was also significant because it changed the idea that sexuality was binary & showed the sexuality could be more fluid & changing than previously thought. The kinsey scale: people could be more heterosexual or homosexual at different points in their lives. 7-point scale ranges from 0-6 (0 is exclusively heterosexual and 6 exclusively homosexual) and x is no sexual contact or reactions (asexual would have been put into this category). He didn"t like the term bisexual because it was a term in biology that was used to reference animals that could reproduce themselves. People started using the kinsey scale to identify their sexual preferences.
