Charges in body size, proportions, appearance, functioning of body system, perceptual and motor capacities, and physical health. Changes in intellectual abilities, including attention, memory, academic and everyday knowledge, probleming solving, imagination, creativity and language. Changes in emotional communication, self-understanding, knowledge about other people, interpersonal skills, friendships, intimates relationship, and moral reasoning. Single cell to becoming a baby and can breath by themself. Infancy & toddlerhood (birth to 2 years old) An orderly, integrated set of statements that describes, explains, and predicts behavior. Theories guide and give meanings to what we see. Theories serve as a sound basis for practical action. Nurture: environment, things that are around us. Recognizing that children are different than adults. Children are born evil, must be reformed. Blank slates - children are written on by their environment.
