Although human population numbers are booming, the population growth rate is declining. The crude death rate has fallen- better health programs, more food, The crude birth rate is starting to fall. The population growth rate is declining in both the developed and developing world. In the developed countries the range in numbers is not very large between different ages. In the developing countries there is a wide bottom meaning that the population will continue to increase. Human population is increasingly urban more than half the world"s population lives in cities, see that all over the world. Even in wi the city populations are growing and rural populations are dropping. Half the world"s population lives on just 1% of the earth"s land surface. The transformation of the landscape and people"s livelihood can drastically change by just a few blocks. More people live in slums than ever before, but the percentage of the population that live there is decreasing.
