Classification is how we differentiate organisms by similar and different they are. There are three domains that classify all organisms: bacteria, archaea, eukarya. Taxonomy is a branch of science that emcompasses the description, identification, nomenclature, and classification of organisms. Inductive reasoning: based on observation ex: investigations, explorations, observations. Deductive reasoning: based on testing ex: experiments, tests, rules. There is no actual proof for inductive reasoning. The validity of deductive reasoning depends on the quality of the idea. Hypothesis: conjecture; informed prediction; untested proposition; it should be based on background knowledge and observations. Scientific method: observation, hypothesis, experiment, data analysis, conclusion. Detritus: any dead thing that"s on the ground.
