Political socializations - process by which the individual acquires attitudes, beliefs and values relating to the political system to which that individual is a member and to that individual"s own role as a citizen within that own system. Normal regime supported socialization - children learn things which made them have positive feelings about the us political system. Children had little to no cynicism about the political system. Children judged politicians more favorably than other people. Identification - you learn political behavior by imitating the behavior of someone who has significant importance to you (ex. Cognitive development model - when children can link concrete concepts to broader examples (i. e. to generalize) that"s when political learning can take place (leans more towards school because around age 8 or 9 is when it happens) There are different responses from children in different socioeconomic groups.
