Do artifacts have politics by langdon winner was a very interesting article. Whenever someone mentions the word technology, the first thing that comes to mind is a computer or some sort of electrical device. Similar to how the word politics make one think about something regarding the government. After reading the article i learnt that technology comes in many different shapes and forms, something as simple as a highway overpass is considered to be technology. While politics can be some sort of issue within a community. I believe that the reason artifacts have politics, is because there"s always an underlying issue or some sort of controversy whenever it"s introduce to society. In order to understand the impact of artifacts whenever it"s introduced to a community, Winner gives an example of the introduction of the tomato harvester to small town californian farmers in the late 60"s and early 70"s.
