Somatic nerves that convey information to and from the cns about voluntary action. Autonomic nerves that control involuntary actions through the central and peripheral. Parasympathetic return body to resting state: peripheral nervous system everything else, are opposing systems. Studying the brain: neurons cells that control how the brain communicates with electrical and chemical signals. Also are glial cells which support neuron function.
