I think johnson makes some good points about faith and the quest to understand god. I agree that it will persist throughout history because. God is infinitely mysterious and can never be truly defined. I also understand the explanation of the need for analogy as god is divine and no human words suffice for talking about him directly. Johnson talks about our quest for religion and how god is infinitely mysterious, yet still has an attractiveness that astounds us. She explains that because he is an unfathomable being, our quest will never cease and throughout history we will continue to search for answers. Johnson also talks about the need for analogy because there is no way to directly talk about god since he is this hidden character, so instead we must make an analogy to confirm his and our goodness.
