Identity theft- be careful when give out private information ex giving out passwords, typing it into webpage, be careful what you share online, destroy and documents that contain info, make sure safe url (begins with http://) ), check credit report (once a year) but use correct websites (look for outstanding loans to make sure they are valid) System- components that interact for a purpose ex: body system work to keep body alive and growing. Information system- components that interact to produce information. Business information system- components that interact to produce information that help a company achieve its goals. Really talking about the development and its use of the components that help a business" achieve its goals. Information technology- one component of information systems, refers to products we develop and the standards we develop them to. (physical devices) The input function- is taking data from the environment (people, other systems) and somehow get it into the information system it self.
