Nerve tissue: neurons are specialized to conduct impulses. Overview of organ systems: 4 systems regulate and maintain body chemistry, respiratory, urinary, digestive, circulatory, 2 systems help to defend itself. Immune: 2 systems participate in support and movement, muscular, skeletal, 1 system is involved in reproduction and development, reproductive, 2 systems are involved in communication and integration, nervous, endocrine. Important homeostatic conditions: temperature, ph, glucose concentration, oxygen concentration, homeostasis is dynamic and always reacting and changing.
