Always remained distant from soviet union. We"re not part of greater soviet union . All these little states bonded together as yugoslavia socialist republics. Unified group held together by tito who died in 1980 then nobody left to hold it together. Ruled for decades lots of groups separated. Whole area puttered along until 1988- 1989 where everybody else started disagreeing. 1991 slovenes declared independence, then croatians, then bosnians. Montenegro held it"s cards we"re gonna stay part of now serbia .
