Document Summary

Introduction to remote sensing september 19, 2016. Aerial cameras form part of a system that integrated aerial observation with the broader realm of geospatial data, including gis, gps, and ins. Exposes entire image at same instant = framing camera . Glass has a higher index of refraction, meaning that when the light hits it the speed slows down and allows for the bending of the light making it travel through the glass before being redirected again. The lens is round and of unequal thickness allowing us to determine which way we want to bend the light. Simple lens means that the curvature of the lens is the same on either side. Different wavelengths within the spectrum will be brought to focal points at differing distances from the center of the lens, creating a blurring, or mis- registration of colors within an image.
