Learning to work: find places that are safe and some that are not, time when you start to childproof house, locomotion and postural control are closely linked, especially in walking upright. Children enjoy simple movements for the sheer delight of performing activities: like to repeat activities (ex: dropping cup over and over, use activities to help children learn to self-regulate. With age children perform more adventurous physical movements and display athletic prowess: accomplishments will be sense of power, feel good about themselves. Middle and late childhood: motor skills become smoother and more coordinated, when mastered, physical skills are a source of great pleasure and accomplishment.
