Case i: one record represents several sas observations such that each value for the record is for the same variable (i. e. a list of airport codes in a single column). Modify the input statement by using the @@ symbol. The @@ symbol is used to read several sas observations from a single raw data record. You can read in more than one variable across a single raw dataset record. Without the @@ symbol, sas only uses the first values for each raw dataset record to produce the sas dataset. That"s because the input statement only requires one value for one variable; therefore, we lose the remaining observations.
