Current estimates: up to 200 million people with rural hukou stay in the city (cid:1) Of all migrant workers in 2007: 37% in manufacturing industries, 14% in construction, 24% in restaurants and in other services (12% each) They account for: 57. 5% of the industrial workforce, 37% of those in service industries (cid:1) 47. 5% of all migrant workers are women.
