Scale has produced measures similar to the authoritarian scale. Major difference is they tend to not identify as benevolent as. They are more explicit in their biases: people who score high on social dominance they will explicitly say they believe their group should be promoted above others and are seeking an advantage. Sdo claims that social identity cannot explain experimental findings that show we cannot predict when out group discrimination will occur and when at times out groups are favored.
