A method used to insert a dna sequence in any type of cell of your choice. Need to have matching sticky ends in order to ligate and combine the dna. Ligase is an enzyme that brings out ligation of dna or another substance. Ligate means to tie up/join together or otherwise close off fragments. Not every cell will uptake the plasma dna.
