A. Uneven effects of globalization
- Women seen as more obedient, docile and more easily monitored, disciplined.
- Women often earn meager wages
- Often 1/3 less than male counter-parts
- Transnational political-economic institutions
- Like World Bank, IMF
- Tend to fund men over women.
- Many African countries often five preferences to men in setting up agribusinesses
and other companies
- Women –having a higher rate of poverty- have difficulty to afford global information
technologies
