Rational is also contemplative, and contemplative responds with the truth. There are 5 intellectual virtues: scientific knowledge, art and technical skills, prudence and practical wisdom, intuition, wisdom. Judgement, understanding, prudence, and intuition are all natural gifts. Intellectual helps us know what is just and what is admirable. Moral can help us do just and admirable deeds. There are 3 bad stages of character: vice, incontinence, brutishness. Is it possible that a person knows what is wrong but doesn t reflect on his knowledge. 2: mentally unstable = unable to act right, desire.
