3 kinds of friendship: utility based on benefit, pleasure- friendship based on happiness, goodness want to help the other person strive. If one person becomes more virtuous it will be unequal. 3 kinds of political constitution: monarchy- aristocracy, tyranny- corruption of monarchy, oligarchy- perversion to aristocracy. Treat a friend like you want to be treated. Those who are good to themselves are good to others. Eudoxus is a member of plato"s academy. He says that pleasure is good because we desire it as an end in itself. We can"t choose to live with the mentality of a child even if it was pleasant.
