Document Summary

Similar questions are at the end of the chapters in the book. The whole process of quantitative and qualitative analysis starts with observation. Only do correlational study this way, there is no variable to manipulate. You can choose to do it more in a descriptive nature, or in a data necessary nature. They take notes about their subject to find out what kinds of things happen before the event they"re looking at. Then you"d try to make sense of it from the qualitative data that you collected. Still observation, no manipulation, no iv, no cause! This is the more quantitative of the pair. You could essentially become a participant as well as being an observer. If you decided that you were going to be a participant in that situation, you"d also have to decide if you were going to be a concealed or unconcealed behavior. Nothing you find out can harm anyone irb could suggest that you could be concealed.
