Is hispanic, but identifies as white or non-white. Chicana/o from chicago with mexican origin; political association. American represents their nation, but these names represent the merging of nationality and ethnicity/origin. I. e. african from nigeria might also identity with brazilian, portuguese, igbo, yoruba, etc.
