A tort is a dispute between two persons as opposed to a person and the state. This chapter thus defines what actions constitute torts and what remedies are available. Tort: it is a civil wrong other than breach of contract which gives rise to an action at. Occupier: a person who has a sufficient degree of control over premises to put him under a duty of care towards those lawfully upon his premises. Bailor: a person who owns goods and takes them for bailment. Bailee: a person who takes possession of goods on bailment. It appears in all the years as from 2000 . the student should be able to explain what a tort is and the various types of torts.
