Introductory speech: introduction, attention getter: legends tupac, fabolous, a rocky, biggie, jay-z and the list continues. You may ask what they have in common. I have been impacted by my hometown, this is the core of my creativity . Where you are from helps to make you who you are, but don"t confuse that with becoming a product of your situation. In new york i find myself being influenced by the struggle that i witness my neighbors go through and my own household. This is a constant theme i incorporate into my non-academic writing. I"ve been writing for as long as i can remember. My writing started as short stories with mostly pictures or doodles followed by a few sentences. However, my writing developed into creating chapter stories and the start of my novel. I knew writing was something that made me special when i entered a publishing contest in the 5th grade.
