Document Summary
Product: what purchaser hopes to get, or believes to be getting, when they purchase a good or service. A good or service that fills buyer"s need or satisfies a want. If you go into a restaurant, you are expected for a meal and good service. Good: a product you can see and touch (it is tangible ) Alternatively: the benefit you get when you pay someone to do something for you. If you buy a chair from home depot. The chair is a good, the delivery to your home is a service. Services more difficult to provide than goods. Most services can"t be stored, whereas goods can be given then and there. The business must work harder at planning and scheduling. Services often need customer to be there: most goods (a book) can be made without customer whereas most services (math tutoring) can not.
