While on duty the day of 06/05/22, i was witness to a possibly volatile situation, involving a visitor bringing contraband into the facility. The visitor has been identified as the wife of one of the inmates. At the beginning of the visit, i noticed that the visitor and inmate were speaking to each other in a foreign language, unknown to me. Following, it resembles that the two are communicating in code and were tapping on the plexiglass. I then observed the female visitor remove an object from her mouth and place it between the glass and desk. I nonchalantly signal the corrections officer at the door that something is suspicious about this visit, as to not make it obvious that i suspect them of anything. I could see the inmate turn in my direction to see if i had witnessed what his wife just did, and for a moment i make direct eye contact with him.
