Source of Notes

  • Who contributes the notes?

    All the notes you see and find on OneClass are created by top university students that have taken or may be currently taking the same courses as you. They share their valuable course notes in order to help new students and also receive rewards from OneClass!

  • How are notes screened?

    We use a rigorous system to evaluate each set of notes that is uploaded to the OneClass platform. Our loyal community of users have the ability to flag documents they see as unrelated or irrelevant. As well, we have an internal audit team that checks over all documents on a daily basis.

  • Can I preview OneClass notes before purchasing?

    We want all users to be able to get a good idea of what they’re spending their hard-earned credits on. That’s why we provide a preview of the document so that you can get a sense of what the content is like before you use your credits to unlock them. For premium users with an unlimited account, you are also able to see documents in preview mode prior to unlocking them.

Legal Issues

  • Will I be in trouble for using OneClass? (Is OneClass legit?)

    OneClass does not allow for any type of prohibited content to be uploaded to the site, including documents that are: copyrighted documents created by professors or instructors, including but not limited to: powerpoint slides, assignment questions, past exams, textbooks, e-textbooks, published articles, journals. By signing up to become a user of OneClass, all users must agree to abide by their policy on plagiarism and submission of any copyrighted material. In any cases where there is alleged infringement, all inquiries will receive a response within 48 hours. Any user found to be in violation of the site's policies will be suspended and all offending documents will be immediately removed. Furthermore, we work closely with faculty members and professors in ensuring that the site’s guidelines on plagiarism and copyrighted content is in strict accordance with as many academic institutions as possible.

  • What kind of notes are allowed/not-allowed on OneClass?

    We only accept uploaded documents that are 100% created by students. The following types of documents are accepted on OneClass.com: lecture notes, textbook notes, chapter summaries, study guides.

    We do not accept the following types of documents: (1) copyright documents created by professors or instructors, including but not limited to: powerpoint slides, assignment questions, past exams, textbooks, e-textbooks, published articles, journals; (2) homework, labs, assignments, essays; (3) duplicate documents; (4) single page documents with little or no information; (5) one full set of notes separated into multiple documents in order to gain additional credits.

Credit System

  • How do I earn credits?

    • Uploading your documents: you earn 25 credits for each upload
    • Referring friends/classmates: you earn 50 credits for each friend/classmate who signs up and activates their account

Subscriptions

  • What does a subscription give me access to?

    With a OneClass Unlimited Account, you get access to over 500,000+ documents on the site for all of your courses. You can also print or unlock the documents directly to your desktop.

  • What are the pricing plans?

    We currently provide 3 options for getting an unlimited account:

    • Monthly Unlimited Account: $39.98/month, renewed on a monthly basis
    • Semester Unlimited Account: $59.94/semester (50% savings over the monthly option), renewed on a quarterly basis (once every 3 months)
    • Yearly Unlimited account: $95.76/year (80% savings over the monthly option), renewed on a yearly basis

  • How does OneClass work?

    OneClass is a community of over 2.2 million+ university students sharing valuable course content such as lecture notes, textbook summaries and exam study guides. OneClass works on a credit system. Students contribute their own self-created documents and receive OneClass credits for their uploads. With OneClass credits, they are able to unlock notes and other study material from OneClass.

  • How to delete a OneClass account?

    To request closure of your OneClass account, just send us an email to [email protected] and we will be able to assist you with your request right away.

Is this legit?

Yes, absolutely! The OneClass Note Taker Programs has hosted 1000s of note takers around the continent taking great quality notes for their courses. Our note takers have not only redeemed thousands in payments for uploading their notes after class; they have seen up to 3 grade point improvements on their transcripts after being one.

If you’re browsing the site and see the golden premium badge on the notes, it means that it came from a verified Elite Note Taker.

How does this work?

Become a member on OneClass and fill out as much information regarding your classes as possible. If you are currently waiting for the details of your classes, you can return to your account to put them in later.

Once deemed a qualified note taker, you will be given the opportunity to become an Elite Note Taker whereby you will earn triple the normal rate of credits (75 instead of 25) per approved document.

What are the requirements to stay an Elite Note Taker?

The responsibilities of an Elite Note Taker are to ensure their documents are of high quality and do not contain any of the following*:

  • Copyright material (slides, exams, tests, textbooks, scholarly journals)
  • Assignment Solutions or Labs (this could get you in trouble for plagiarism)
  • Poor quality scanned documents or documents with insufficient content

We also ask that all Elite Note Takers upload weekly to their account to keep our content library up-to-date and make the experience for those looking for notes, an amazing one.

We also have additional opportunities for Elite Note Takers to get paid more for what they do, and we will contact individuals personally for these opportunities.

* These are actually our prohibited materials list for all note takers, so even if you are not an Elite Note Taker, these terms will apply to your account.

Do I have to pay to become a Note Taker?

Becoming a note taker is free!

I handwrite all of my notes; can I participate?

Who uses the notes I submit?

All students who need the extra push to get the education they want. In particular, we are aiming for students with visible and invisible disabilities, students struggling with language barriers and students with different learning styles.
